Christina Penfield is in the one-year MCH program. Christina went to college at UC, Berkeley and studied Spanish and Chemical Biology.  She is a medical student at UC, Irvine taking a year off to pursue her interests in public health.  She is interested in empowerment theories of health promotion and women's reproductive healthcare, particularly in underserved Latino communities.
