Katelyn is a native of Virginia and a recent graduate from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Russian. She has a passion for international pediatric health issues and hopes to apply her Russian degree to a career focused on Eastern Europe. She has researched the “Impact of HIV/AIDS on Russian Orphans,” traveling to Taganrog, Russian Federation to gather first hand knowledge through KAP surveys. Katelyn also interned at the Institute of Public Health in Sophia, Bulgaria, interviewing pediatric health professionals throughout the city, including in the Ministry of Health. Katelyn and her puppy Talulah are excited about moving to Berkeley and can’t wait to learn even more about Maternal and Child health at Cal! She will be starting her first year of the 2-year MPH program. |
