Sunny is in her second year of the 2-year program. She recently graduated from UCLA in June 2008, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physiological Sciences. Her interest in infants is what drew her to the MCH program. Her research interests for after graduation from the MPH program include finding and studying factors that may specifically affect health of infants in underserved communities. During her undergraduate career, Sunny served the residential community as a Resident Assistant for two years, worked with infants as an intern in the Psychology Department's Infant Development Program, and researched cardiac diseases. Her mission trip to South Africa where she worked with children in the underserved urban townships and rural villages helped her ultimately decide to pursue a MPH degree with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health at Berkeley.
